- Charting a course to profitability. This business had been around for about
a year and sales had been growing quickly. However, they were not yet profitable and didn't know when they would be. By going through the strategic planning process and analyzing their business model, we were able to create a plan that helped them to see what actions they could take to achieve their goals.
- Expanding into a larger location. This business had grown so much that they had outgrown their current space. They had identified a new location, but expanding is a big step; one that trips up many businesses. They needed help understanding the implications of this move on their business. By going through the planning process they were able to model the move and see what it would take to be successful in the new location.
- Looking for investors. This business was a manufacturing company that had very successfully introduced a hot new product into a niche market. Sales had grown quickly and they became profitable in very short order. However, growing a manufacturing company takes a lot of cash to keep inventory in stock and they were looking for investors to help finance their growth. We created a very compelling business plan to attract investors which resulted in a funding offer.
- Creating financial freedom. The owner of this business wanted to grow from a 2 person firm to a self-sustaining business that would provide her with not only an income without her daily involvement but also an eventual exit strategy. We created a plan outlining strategies and defining a business model to get her working towards this goal.

Basically, they needed to know if the market was big enough, how much it would cost to start and if they could make money at it.
